A mid-nineteenth century rose pink hydraulic inkstand by Joseph Schlesinger of Birmingham with ornate supports and turning knob.
The inkstand in the dipping spout can be adjusted by raising or lowering a porcelain cylinder. The cylinder is adjusted by turning the knob on the inkstand lid.
